On 22 April 2021, the Department of Regional Development of Russia's Ministry of Economic Development entered a record into the register of residents of special economic zones registering the Makosh plant as a resident.
By the end of 2022, the Makosh plant plans to complete construction and launch a deep-processing facility for industrial hemp seeds.
